5 Golden Rules – What your Website Proposal should never leave out

A website proposal template should always cover the basics when addressing the client’s needs, their business and the project. I call these sections the 5 golden rules ––> 1) project overview, 2) project requirements (i.e. the client’s objectives that must be met), 3) functional specifications (i.e. how you’re going to meet those objectives), 4) project timelines (i.e. timeframes for delivering the solution), 5) project cost (i.e. a breakdown / summary of costs).   Still, it’s not only how you structure the website proposal, but also how well it is well-written – it must be simple to read, flow and compelling enough to grab the client’s attention and impress them enough so you get the job!  By simple I mean keep it short but direct and straight to the point – address their needs and talk about the solution without putting them to sleep.  By compelling I mean that it needs to grab their attention and engage their interest.  Yes, it does take some skill to write a professional looking and sounding proposal, but once again, with a website proposal template all this hard work is already done for you.
