Rachel Brought All Kinds of Problems to Our Normally Peaceful Home
I really had begun to wonder if we had made a serious mistake when we invited my sister’s only child Rachel to spend the summer with us and our youngest daughter Emily. Rachel had a mind of her own and would not hesitate to break the family rules if they inconvenienced her in any way. She exhibited the kind of child behavior problems that we had never had to deal with before. Our children were pretty much raised by the book, so to speak. They had grown up without a lot of rebellion and problem-causing. Rachel seemed bent on changing the peace in our home to utter chaos, but in the end our love and consistency won out, and we salvaged the summer in time to enjoy it.
