When all else fails, put a capo on it
If you’ve played guitars for any period of time, then you no doubt have realized that hearing the same chords can get boring after just a short period of time. Also, another problem is that some of the more interesting chords and keys are more difficult to play, especially for new players. The best solution to both of these problems is to simply use a capo. They are pretty inexpensive and you put it on a fret to quickly change the key. Now, playing the simple chords will sound interesting again, because you are not playing in the same keys you are used to, but using the same chord positions. Also, you can now use the simpler chords to play the tougher ones.
